Kenneth Farrell, also known as The Gravity Wave, has assembled a band to help bring out his sound. Although I haven’t seen Farrell play as of late, I remember him jamming to tunes from an iPod, singing about “two footprints in the sand.” Not much to the song, but it made people dance and it was catchy. So, who complains? Nobody, that’s who!
This show was put on to celebrate the release of The Gravity Wave’s full-length release ‘GAMBOL’. To go with the CD, a fairly large cake was cut up and served to people as the show went on. I found this to be a significant highlight. I had told people that cake always made a difference in my life — good and bad. Right there and then, it made a world of difference…a tasty difference. Also, Farrell was giving away free stuff like tope bags and t-shirts. I didn’t see the cake mixing with the tope bags. Probably looked good on some people.
‘GAMBOL‘ is now available on Fuzzy Logic Recordings. It can be purchased from local Toronto record stores and on iTunes.
